... And The Trees Came a-Tumbling Down
My Paw Paw is visiting with us this week. That's my Mommy's Daddy. He lives in an RV with his doggy. Yesterday, after me and big brother woke up from our naps, we went to Paw Paw's RV. As usual, big brother got to play with toys while I just hung out in my car seat. I'm just along for the ride, so I sat there quietly and just sorta hung out.
Then they decided to go to a restaurant. Big brother didn't want to leave his toys, so he threw a fit, but I was like, "Whatever, I'm just chilling in my car seat." So off we went, everyone else facing forward and me facing backward. Mommy rode in Paw Paw's car, and Daddy kept talking about the dark clouds we were driving toward. But I was like, "Yo! I'm facing the wrong way to see everything." I got fussy. Daddy reached back and popped my pacifier back in, and then I was okay again. Dark clouds, whatever.
Then it got REALLY LOUD. Chunks of ice cubes were falling from the sky and I couldn't see anything because of the rain. Then Daddy slammed on the brakes. I looked over and saw a tree all over the car. Now, I'm only three months old, but I'm pretty sure that isn't supposed to happen. Big brother was crying REALLY LOUD and calling for Mommy.
Daddy called Mommy to say we were okay, and he kept telling us the same thing, but me and big brother were pretty freaked out, so we just kept crying. Mommy and Paw Paw turned around and drove back to us. All they saw was a big tree and a little bit of the car. Mommy freaked out too. But Daddy backed the car up and said everything was okay. Mommy ran over from Paw Paw's car, and Daddy got out to move the tree out of the road. Some Amish men showed up too.
Then it was back to Mommy and Daddy and big brother and me. Everything was okay again for me. Big brother wanted to go home, though, so that's where we went. They had someone named Papa John to bring them pizza. I just had Mommy's milk as always and went to bed.
